레드리버 커뮤니티 칼리지(Red River Community College)는 매니토바주정부에서 재정지원하는 CCPTA와 함께 해외에서 의사 자격증을 취득하고 캐나다에 이민 온 의사출신 이민자를 위하여 아래와 같은 영어 연수 프로그램을 마련했다고 합니다.

교민분중 해당 자격조건을 가진 의사출신 분들은 영어연수프로그램을 신청할 수가 있습니다. 이 프로그램을 통하여 많은 한국분들이 캐나디언 의사 자격증을 취득하여 활발하게 활동하기를 희망합니다.

CANADIAN COMMUNICATION FOR PHYSICIANS TRAINED ABROAD (CCPTA) PROGRAM

Information Session-December 4, 2008

Program Information: The CCPTA is a 300 hour cultural communication program to support International Medical Graduates (IMG) in their preparation for medical assessments. The program consists of 3 modules of approximately 100 hours each.

Program Dates: January 12 – May 1, 2009 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon)

Program Location: 3^rd floor, Language Training Centre – 123 Main Street (Union Station)

Attendance at the information session is mandatory. The information session will review the program outline and schedule, entrance requirements, the application package and the selection process.

Applicants to the program will be required to supply:

1. Proof of Medical Training

2. Proof of English Language Proficiency (Successful completion of an Academic English Program or proof of language proficiency such as, Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB), TOEFL, IELTS, CanTEST).

3. An Articulated Career Plan

4. A Resume

Priority will be given to candidates who:

· Are residents of Manitoba.

· Have completed at least one year of post-graduate medical training.

· Have taken the Medical Council of Canada Evaluating Examination (MCCEE) or

· Have applied to write the MCCEE.

Interested applicants should attend one of two information sessions that will take place on Thursday December 4, 2008 in Room 441 A at 123 Main Street (4th Floor of Union Station). Session times are at 10:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m. Call 945-6151 for more information.

The application deadline for the Program is Monday , December 15, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. Late applications will only be considered if space is available. Applicants will be notified by mail of their acceptance.

The CCPTA is funded by the Provincial Government. Enrolment is limited.
