(사진) 오늘부터 위니펙시의 세인트 찰스 골프클럽(St. Charles Country Club)에서 시작한 씨엔 캐나다 여자 오픈 골프대회(CN Canadian Women's Open)에서 크리스티나 김(Christina Kim, 한국명 김초롱)이 티샷을 할 때 돌풍이 불어 모자를 날려버리고 있다.
오늘부터 시작한 CN Canadian Women's Open 에는 LPGA의 TOP 50 에 들어가는 선수중 48명과 순위에 들어가지 않는 로레나 오쵸아(Lorena Ochoa)와 나탈리 걸비스(Natalie Gulbis)이 참석합니다. 또한 한국계 여자 골프선수들도 많이 참석을 하는가 봅니다. 신문기사를 읽어 보니 2005년도 이 대회 우승자인 이미나를 비롯하여 신지애, 크리스티나 김, 수 김 등이 참석을 합니다. 골프대회에 관심있는 분들은 갤러리로 참석하셔도 될 듯... 참석하는 분들은 많이 응원하시길 바랍니다.
갤러리 티켓은 당일 $30 이고, 23일부터 29일까지 156 명의 선수가 참가하여 2라운드가 끝난 후에 순위 70 등을 넘는 선수는 탈락하고 남은 선수들만이 우승을 다투네요.
그리고 내일(화요일)은 어린이를 동반한 어른은 모두 입장료가 무료라고 합니다. 많이 참석하세요.

Forty-eight of the top 50 golfers on the LPGA money list are confirmed for next week's CN Canadian Women's Open.
Defending champion Suzann Pettersen, world No. 1 Cristie Kerr and current money leader Jiyai Shin will all play in the Aug. 23-29 event at Winnipeg's St. Charles Country Club.
Thirteen Canadians are also in the field, inlcuding LPGA regulars Lorie Kane of Charlottetown and Alena Sharp of Hamilton.
Other Canadians looking to win the tournament at home for the first time since Jocelyne Bourassa in 1973 include Lisa Meldrum, Samantha Richdale, Adrienne White, Seema Sadekar and Jessica Shepley. Stephanie Sherlock and Sue Kim, both of whom recently turned pro, are also on the confirmed list.
Nine former champions of Canada's only LPGA event will be in the field including Pettersen (2009), Katherine Hull (2008), Kerr (2006), Meena Lee (2005), Webb (1999), Brandie Burton (1998 and 1993), Laura Davies (1996), Sherri Steinhauer (1992) and Juli Inkster (1984).
The only players in the top 50 not competing at St. Charles are the retired Lorena Ochoa and Natalie Gulbis, who is out due to a back injury.
