오후 1:30 – 3:00 (9학년 - 11학년)

올해 수학경시대회는 작년에 불편 사항을 참고하여 캐나다 교과 과정에 준한 문제 위주로 출제하기로 결정하였습니다.

일시: 2009년 4월 25일 (토) 오후 12:30 – 3:00

장소: 1^st floor, Wallace building 정문, University of Manitoba

대상: 4학년 - 11학년

등록: (1) 참가 신청서는 과기협 홈페이지에서 다운 로드 받은후 작성하시면 됩니다.

(2) 수표와 학생정보를 우송 (Payable to Suk Hyeon Cho 주소: 119 Craigmohr Dr. Winnipeg, MB R3T 6B9).

(3) 학생이름과 부모이름(동명이인인 경우 구별하기 위함임)을 “보내는 사람”으로.

(4) 학생정보는 학생이름, 부모이름, 학년, 학교이름, 전화번호, 이메일주소.

(5) 이메일로 입금과 등록됨을 알려 줄 것임.

참가비: $20, 당일 등록시 $30

접수마감: 2009년 4월 20일, 월요일

시상: (1) 각 학년별 전국 수학 입상 (상장 및 장학금)

(2) 각 학년별 토론토지부 입상 (상장 및 상품)

(3) 참가증 교부

AKCSE National Math Competition (NMC) 2009 Announcement

The Association of Korean-Canadian Scientists and Engineers (www.akcse.org President: Dr. Bumsoo Kim) is pleased to announce that the National Mathematics Competition (NMC) 2009 will be held on April 25, 2009. The AKCSE NMSC 2009 is open to the 4th-11th grade students. The goal of the NMC is to promote their interest in mathematics and careers in the fields of science and engineering. Students, parents and guardians who are interested in the NMC2009 should contact chapter representatives (Manitoba: Dr. Suk Hyeon Cho, Tel: 997-2551) for registration in respective chapter areas.

1. Important items

Time	Date: April 25, 2009 Time: As determined by each participating chapter Math Competition 60 Minutes for 4^th, 5^th, 6^th, 7^th, 8^th grade 90 Minutes for 9^th, 10^th, 11^th grade All students must be checked in 30 minutes before the competition.
Registration Period:	March 23, 2009 – April 20, 2009
Qualification	Students from 4^th grade to 11^th grade in schools in Canada
Location	University of Manitoba, Wallace building 1^st floor the main entrance
Parents Prog	TBD
Award	Math National Winners: 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd Local Winners: 1^st Award ceremony date will be noticed to winners by each chapter.

2. Sample problems, Instruction of Math Test, and Information about Science Test

· Unlike last 2 years the exam problem will be based on Canadian curriculum which is fair to Canadian students. You may find sample problems at http://cemc.uwaterloo.ca/contests/contests.html. The examples illustrate the types of problems to solve, not the degree of difficulty.
